What you need to tryout (please read through each list item):
Completed and Signed Cheer Contract
Requires a copy of most current progress report
All parts of the contract and progress report must be printed and turned in to Coach Gomez on April 10th at tryouts. (Students can print documents in the school Library)
TWO Teacher Recommendations (email the document to your teachers)
Recommendations must be emailed to Coach Gomez directly from the teachers to ensure accuracy of recommendations.
Completed FHS Athletic Clearance (all documents must be completed through the Athletics Department, NOT sent to Coach)
This process requires that your child receive a physical evaluation from their Primary Care Provider and submit a copy of their medical insurance card.
If you already have a current (within the past year) Athletic Clearance on file with the FHS Athletics Department from a different sport, you do not need to complete this step.
Parent AND Athlete attendance at the pre-tryouts Parent Meeting: Wed. March 29th @ 5:30pm in the FHS “Bowl” (area in front of school clock tower).
All items enumerated in the list above are a REQUIREMENT for participation in the tryouts process. Failure to complete any of the above list items will result in ineligibility to tryout for the 2023 Cheer season.
