Dive into a world of diverse learning, from mastering the art of dance and essential math skills to exploring the future of AI and the mysteries of time. Our small-group classes offer personalized instruction designed to ignite curiosity and accelerate skill mastery.
Our 8 Core Classes
Here are the eight classes with concise, engaging descriptions:
1. Danza Folklorica: Cultural Movement 💃
Learn the fundamental steps, vibrant costumes, and rich history of traditional Mexican Folkloric Dance. This class will cover basic footwork, skirt work, and choreography from various regions of Mexico, culminating in a beautiful performance piece.
2. Criminology: The Science of Crime 🔎 (This class has been postponed till further notice)
Explore the fascinating world of forensic science, criminal behavior, and the justice system. We'll delve into psychological profiling, crime scene analysis, and the social factors that contribute to criminal activity.
3. Time Travel Trivia: Paradoxes & Possibilities ⏳
A fun, fast-paced class that tests your knowledge of historical events, theoretical physics, and pop culture that relates to time travel. Prepare for paradoxes, hypothetical scenarios, and a lively competitive environment!
4. Dual Immersion Mentorship: Bilingual Success 🗣️
A specialized workshop for students and mentors in Dual Immersion programs. Focus on advanced language acquisition strategies, cultural competency, and effective techniques for mentoring younger students in a bilingual setting.
5. General Tutoring & Homework Support 📚
An open-session class providing personalized academic help across multiple subjects (English, History, Science). Bring your homework, challenging assignments, or test prep materials for focused, one-on-one guidance.
6. Integrated Math Assistance (This class has been postponed till further notice)
Master the essential concepts of Integrated Math I, including linear equations, exponential functions, and introductory statistics. This course is designed to solidify understanding, improve problem-solving skills, and prepare students for their next math level.
7. College & Career Readiness Workshop 🎓
Get a head start on your future! This workshop covers essential topics like college application strategy, financial aid basics (FAFSA), effective interview skills, resume building, and exploring in-demand career paths.
8. AI Prompt Engineering: The Art of Asking 🤖
Learn how to communicate effectively with Generative AI models (like ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.). Understand the principles of crafting powerful, precise prompts to get better, more relevant outputs for school, work, or creative projects.
Additionally, we offer adult classes:
English As A Second Language: Basic level.
I.N.E.A.: Basic Elementary Skills in Spanish.
AERIES Portal/Basic Computer Skills Support: Learn basic computer skills and how to navigate the AERIES portal.
