COVID-19

The FUHSD COVID-19 Public Dashboard provides information to our school community regarding confirmed positive cases of staff and students reported in the last 14 days at District and school sites.

A confirmed case means a student or staff member has been confirmed as being positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of the positive test result and has been on campus. No data displayed for a District or school site means there were no confirmed cases for the 14-day period. The COVID-19 Public Dashboard is updated daily.

COVID-19 FAQ

If your child is sick, please keep your student home and call The Health Office: 760-723-6300 x3106 or x3108

Please be very specific regarding symptoms. If your description is vague (i.e. not feeling well, sick, etc), we will have to call you back for specific symptoms. If your child is experiencing stomach issues, please let us know if they are experiencing nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

If your child has any COVID-like symptoms (fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), your child must stay home for 10 days OR must have a negative PCR test prior to returning to school.

We can only accept PCR tests. We cannot accept Antigen tests or home test kits. Please make sure to ask which test your child is being given. We must have a report that includes: Student Name, Date of Collection, Type of test (PCR), and Test Results.

Send your child’s test results to http://covid19@fuhsd.net/

***If you have not received confirmation of receipt of test results from the Health Office prior to your child returning to school, it is highly recommended that you send your child with a printed or digital copy of the report and have them bring it to the Health Office before school starts.

Students / Parents should reach out to teachers via email for upcoming or missed information, assignments, or assessments. The good news is that most of our staff are continuing to utilize Google Classroom and students will have readily available access to all materials throughout the day.

Our staff realizes that students are being sent home by the school site and that this should not negatively impact their grades. Teachers also see an attendance code indicating the students’ quarantine status. If you are struggling with communication or receiving school work when your child is out of school due to quarantine, please reach out to Mrs. Gardiner or Mr. Martinez, the Assistant Principals, for assistance.

Call the Health Office at 760-723-6300 x3106 or x3108 (Spanish) or the COVID-19 information line at 760-723-6300 x3519 immediately.

If your child is considered a close contact while at school, you will be notified via email/Aeries.

The quarantine options* are:

Option #1 - Return to school on day 8 - Test on Day 5 - may return Day 8 with a negative PCR COVID Test (no antigen tests accepted).

Option #2 - Return to school on day 11 (No testing required)

Day 1 is the day after the last close contact with a person who is contagious.

*If the close contact occurred at home and your student is unable to quarantine away from the positive family member, their quarantine cannot begin until the positive family member’s isolation ends

If your child is fully vaccinated (child has received both vaccinations and it has been 14 days since the last vaccination was given) before the close contact date, they may return to school with proof of immunization. Send proof of vaccination to covid19@fuhsd.net

If your child had COVID-19 within 90 days of close contact, they may return to school with proof of positive lab results. Send proof of positive test to covid19@fuhsd.net

If your child is considered a close contact from exposure at school, you and your child will receive a specific email stating that they are a close contact and advising you of your options. Please be sure your Aeries communications information is up to date.
